The Iowa 1:1 Institute exists to:
  • Help the Midwest’s 1:1 districts learn from each other about innovative teaching, learning, and administrative practices that are occurring in their districts;
  • Build excitement and ‘buzz’ around 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in the Midwest; and
  • Help others who are interested in 1:1 computing learn more about how to get started and be successful.
The institute is open to anyone interested in 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in P-12 schools, whether they currently are working in such a program or just want to learn more.

A Formula for Authentic Tech Integration

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The struggle is often real when it comes to authentic integration of technology into lessons/units.

Specifically these questions arise:
• How do I integrate technology meaningfully?
• How do I choose the proper tech tools?
• How does the technology become a part of the “main course” and not just “dessert”?
• How can I effectively use technology to meet my Iowa Core learning targets without skewing the length of the lesson/unit?

These questions will be answered and discussed during this interactive, hands-on session. In addition, a tech integration formula will be shared to assist participants in re-creating what was learned with future lesson/unit planning and/or to share with others.
