The Iowa 1:1 Institute exists to:
  • Help the Midwest’s 1:1 districts learn from each other about innovative teaching, learning, and administrative practices that are occurring in their districts;
  • Build excitement and ‘buzz’ around 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in the Midwest; and
  • Help others who are interested in 1:1 computing learn more about how to get started and be successful.
The institute is open to anyone interested in 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in P-12 schools, whether they currently are working in such a program or just want to learn more.

Jodi has spent the past 15 years as a physical education teacher in Ankeny, IA.  She currently is a high school physical education and health teacher at Ankeny Centennial High and prior to that was at Northview Middle School.  In 2011 she was named Iowa Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year.  Prior to her time in PE she spent 10 years teaching special education. She currently is teaching 2 face to face adapted physical education classes and 1 virtual APE class along with health and wellness classes.
